“The Original” automatic fire suppressor – StoveTop FireStop Rangehood has been protecting residential kitchens from the devastating effects of cooking fires since 1972.

One pair of Rangehood canisters will protect a typical four burner stove from grease fires, even when no one is in the kitchen. Unlike other fire extinguishing products, Rangehood deploys automatically when the flames from a cooking fire make contact with the fuse on the underside of the canister.

StoveTop FireStop Microhood is designed to attach to the back wall of your kitchen, directly underneath the microwave. Unlike the Rangehood version, which features a single pair of fire suppresion canisters, each Microhood housing has 2 canisters inside it, providing a designated fire suppressor over each burner on your stove.

LowPro is easy to mount under the microwave with its built-in magnets, because each of four arms can swivel to avoid lights and vents. Our new ramp system delivers all of the powder to fire on the front or rear burner.

Each package contains one pair of polished stainless steel covers, which slip over the Rangehood canisters in seconds.

These days, many kitchens have stainless steel appliances, and unfortunately, stainless steel is non-magnetic! Does that mean you can’t use StoveTop FireStop Rangehood in your kitchen?

This highly tactile, double-sided adhesive sticker and washer set was developed by 3M to provide our customers with an easy installation process for attaching our industrial strength magnets (and their life saving, fire suppressing canisters) to their non-magnetic vent hoods.

If you find that your control panel is overly deep, or a gas line or wall plug prevents the stove from fitting snugly against the wall, you may need a set of our Microhood extender bars. These kits ship with two heavy duty, powder-coated metal bars, two bolts, and two locking nuts.
